Lunch with bulgar (w/pic)


This is the homemade version of Mediterranean Chicken Salad, prepared by Mom. It was delicious! The recipe came from The South Beach Diet book, by Dr. Arthur Agatston. The salad contained bulgar, which is cracked wheat. Preparation of bulgar is easy: pour boiling water over, let set thirty to forty minutes, pour excess water off. That's it! To drink, I had a cup of Postum®, which is a coffee-like drink made with finely ground wheat and boiling water.
